If you are currently enrolled in a BSN program and want to transfer to Aultman College, will the credits transfer?

o   Potentially. Aultman College will evaluate each applicant’s earned credits from all official post-secondary transcripts to ensure that the earned credits meet an 80% content match and are consistent with Aultman College’s course levels. If the earned credits are consistent with the Aultman College course requirements, the earned credits will transfer.

How long will it take for Aultman College to get the BSN Completion Program online?

o   The Program will be hybrid (classroom and online) starting with the Summer 2014 semester.

How much time will be spent in the classroom and how much will be online?

o   One-third (1/3) of the Program’s course content will be delivered face-to-face in the classroom (approximately two hours per week per course); the remaining course content will be delivered online. For example, a three credit hour course would meet approximately two hours per week in the classroom and four hours per week of online instruction. This is Aultman College’s definition of hybrid.

When will Aultman College’s BSN Completion Program be accredited?

o   Aultman College has requested to host the CCNE accreditation visit during the Spring 2015 semester. Spring semester will be the first class’s graduation date for this Program, which is the first opportunity for Aultman College to request full accreditation.

If I already hold a bachelor’s degree in another field, will I be able to take fewer classes to obtain my BSN degree?

o   It depends on the amount of transfer credit awarded. Additional credit hours may be accepted towards general education requirements. Aultman College will evaluate earned credits from all official post-secondary transcripts to determine which credits will transfer.

Will there be any clinical time to complete in the BSN Completion Program?

o   There will not be traditional clinical groups as completed in the Nursing diploma/Associate Degree programs.

How flexible is the Aultman College program if I need to jump in and out of the Program due to life events?

o   Aultman College’s BSN Completion Program has been designed to meet a student’s work, life, and education balance. Students are permitted to be inactive during four (4) sessions or two (2) consecutive semesters without needing to re-apply to the Program. Tuition reimbursement guidelines may vary.
