Admissions Criteria

Please review the following admissions criteria for Aultman College’s BSN, RN-BSN (Completion Program), ASN, Radiography, Health Sciences, and College Credit Plus.

To be considered for admission to Aultman College, applicants must meet the following admission requirements listed below. 

Note: Aultman College is not certified by the Student Exchange and Visitor Program (SEVP) to issue Forms I-20 to students who seek F-1 or M-1 status and cannot accept students who require I-20 documentation for F-1 or M-1 status.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Admission Requirements

Graduating high school students must have:

  • A high school GPA of 3.00 or higher OR a GED score of 2250 or higher, and
  • An ACT score of 20 or higher/SAT combined score of 950 or higher

Transfer applicants must have:

  • Six (6) or more credit hours of college coursework with a GPA of 2.7 or higher based on the most recent college transcript 

If applicants meet college admission criteria, they are eligible to be considered for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. The BSN program has limited enrollment and a selective admission process. Selection of applicants is based on this BSN ranking criteria

RN-BSN (Completion Program)

Admission Requirements

      • Complete the online application
      • Submit the $45 application fee (waived with proof of military service)

Post-Licensure Track 1 Requirements

      • A certificate, diploma or ASN from a regionally accredited nursing program OR a diploma or ASN from Aultman College/Aultman Hospital School of Nursing
      • An active, unencumbered Ohio nursing license
      • An undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for all prerequisite courses and previous college credits

Post-Licensure Track 2 Requirements

      • A certificate, diploma or ASN from a regionally accredited nursing program OR a diploma or ASN from Aultman College/Aultman Hospital School of Nursing
      • An active, unencumbered Ohio nursing license
      • An undergraduate GPA of 2.0-2.49 (on a 4.0 scale) for all prerequisite courses and previous college credits
      • A minimum of six (6) credit hours of coursework with a cumulative semester GPA of 2.5 or higher must be achieved during the first semester to continue enrollment

Pre-Licensure Track 1 Requirements

      • A certificate, diploma or ASN from a regionally accredited nursing program OR a diploma or ASN from Aultman College/Aultman Hospital School of Nursing
      • Pass the NCLEX-RN Licensure Exam within two consecutive semesters from the first day of enrollment

Pre-Licensure Track 2 Requirements

      • Good academic standing and currently enrolled in the Aultman College ASN program
      • Complete program interest form
      • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for all prerequisite courses and previous college credits
      • Students must remain in good academic standing in both programs

Pre-Licensure Track 3 Requirements

      • Good academic standing and currently enrolled in an Associate Nursing program
      • Complete BSN Completion application and pay application fee
      • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for all prerequisite courses and previous college credits
      • Students must remain in good academic standing in both programs

Liability Insurance Requirement

Aultman College requires its post licensure students to provide proof of liability insurance with a $1million minimum coverage.

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)

Admission Requirements

Applicants to the nursing program must first be accepted into and meet all requirements for Aultman College.

High school applicants must have:

      • A high school GPA of 3.00 or higher OR A GED score of 2250 or higher
        AND
      • An ACT score of 20 or higher/SAT combined score of 950 or higher

Transfer applicants must have:

      • Six (6) or more credit hours of college coursework with a GPA of 2.5 or higher based on the most recent college transcript

If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to be considered for admission to the ASN Program upon completion of all application requirements. Selection of applicants is based on this ASN ranking criteria.

Associate of Applied Science in Radiography

Admission Requirements

High school students must have:

      • A high school GPA of 3.00 or higher or a GED score of 2250 or higher
        AND
      • An ACT score of 20 or higher or an SAT combined score of 950 or higher

Transfer students must have:

      • A college GPA of 2.5 or higher with six (6) credit hours or more of coursework based on the most recent college transcript

If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to be considered for admission to the Radiography Program upon completion of all application requirements. Selection of applicants is based on this AASR ranking criteria.

Health Insurance Requirement

Aultman College requires its radiography students to have health insurance. Students who do not have health insurance must purchase their own policy, as good health is essential to academic success.

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences 

      • High school GPA of 3.0 or greater OR a GED score of 2250 or greater
            or
      • ACT score of 20 or greater or an SAT combined score of 950 or greater
            or
      • College GPA of 2.5 or greater with six (6) credit hours or more of coursework based on the most recent college transcript

 

Associate of Science in Health Sciences

Admission Requirements

      • High school GPA of 3.0 or greater OR a GED score of 2250 or greater
            or
      • ACT score of 20 or greater or an SAT combined score of 950 or greater
            or
      • College GPA of 2.5 or greater with six (6) credit hours or more of coursework based on the most recent college transcript

College Credit Plus (CCP)

Admission Requirements

      • 3.0 GPA or higher
        and
      • ACT composite score of 20 or higher or an SAT combined scored of 950 or higher
