Elise Mollohan has been a registered nurse since 2006, when she earned a BSN from the University of Akron.  After several years of nursing experience, including positions as an emergency room staff nurse, quality care coordinator, and emergency department manager, Mrs. Mollohan earned an MSN in nursing education from Indiana Wesleyan University.  In the fall of 2013, she followed her passion to teach, accepting a full-time faculty position in the ASN program. She was drawn to Aultman College for its history, outstanding reputation, and commitment to community service.  Her research interests include the delivery of evidence-based emergency stroke care, and the role of nurse empowerment in quality of patient care. Mrs. Mollohan continuously strives to promote high quality nursing care through education, research, and service. In June 2014, she participated in a collaborative service project between Aultman College and Central American Medical Outreach (CAMO), aimed at standardizing nursing care in Honduras. Mrs. Mollohan is committed to creating a positive learning atmosphere that promotes student engagement, free exchange of ideas, and critical thinking.  In addition to her faculty role, she enjoys spending time with her family, bicycling, cooking, and reading.
