Student Consumer Information

Notice of Availability of Institutional and Financial Aid Information

Aultman College complies with federal Title IV student financial aid regulatory requirements that specify the "consumer information" that must be provided to current and prospective students. A description of the information that is available and how to receive it or find it online follows. Upon request, you are entitled to a paper copy of any of the reports, reference materials, and documents cited on paper or online.

Student Complaints

As indicated in the Student Complaint Policy, the process is conducted through written communication. While college personnel will respond to e-mail, in-person, and telephone inquiries with general questions and concerns, the formal complaint/appeal processes begin with written documentation. The college will respond in writing to all formal written complaints. Complaints from employees or third parties shall be handled through processes established in other policies. Academic concerns related to a grade and/or classroom performance need to follow the Academic Appeal Process outlined in the College Catalog.

Formal Complaints to Outside Agencies.

The Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) is responsible for responding to formal complaints against public, independent non-profit, and proprietary institutions of higher education in Ohio. While the ODHE has limited authority over colleges and universities and cannot offer legal advice or initiate civil court cases, the Chancellor's staff will review submitted complaints and work with student complainants and institutions.  www.ohiohighered.org/students/complaints

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is an independent body responsible for the accreditation of programs offered by Aultman College. The HLC receives complaints from students or other parties. When a complaint raises issues regarding an institution’s ability to meet accreditation criteria, the HLC will forward a copy of the complaint to the institution and request a formal response. Instructions for filing a complaint with the Commission are available on its website.
