Amanda began as an adjunct instructor for microbiology lab in August 2011 and taught regularly for the General Education Division and ACCE before being hired as Dean in May 2013. As a higher education professional Amanda finds working for Aultman College reinvigorating! The uniqueness and spirit of quality and innovation that permeates the Aultman College environment is what inspired her to pursue a full time leadership position after teaching here for so long. Aultman College doesn’t say “no” here; It says “how can we make that happen?”
Amanda states that, “Health care is rapidly changing in the US, but what Aultman College is sure of is that our community will continue to need qualified, caring and skilled health care professionals. This is who Aultman College is teaching its students to become. Aultman College is uniquely situated to accomplish that goal because of its affiliation with the Aultman Health Foundation. Aultman College has its finger on the pulse of the changes in health care and can prepare students for adaptability and change. While Aultman College offers a full comprehensive curriculum, the core focus is health care.”
She enjoys traveling, reading, continuing her education and professional interests, community work – but truly right now her focus is on family. Amanda and her husband thoroughly enjoy their daughter, Alana.
