CPR & First Aid
Anyone may need to be a lifesaver. Will you know how to respond? ACCE offers American Heart Association (AHA) CPR and first aid courses designed to prepare health care providers, first responders, and community members.
This course is designed for health care providers and students who are seeking training that offers a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. Participants are instructed in Adult/Child/Infant CPR and the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator). The course completion card is valid for two years. Heart Saver courses are designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card (CPR certification) for job, regulatory, or other requirements. Heart Saver incorporates Adult/Child/Infant AED (Automated External Defibrillator) with CPR and optional first aid training. The course completion card is valid for two years. This course is designed for family members and friends of heart disease patients, as well as members of the general community who wish to learn CPR but do not require a course completion card. Participants receive basic CPR training in a dynamic group environment using the research-proven Practice-While-Watching method. Coach Clinics have two parts: Heart Saver CPR and Pupil Activity First Aid Training. Coaches may register for one or both parts. All clinics are approved by the Ohio Department of Education.
