Transferring Colleges

Aultman College is a transfer-friendly institution – most of our students come in with some form of credit previously earned at another college or university. A transfer student is someone who has completed at least one hour of college credit after graduating high school. When transferring to our campus in Canton, Ohio, students can transfer into any of our majors and degrees.

How Will My Credits Transfer?

Transferring to Aultman College

In general, here is how to transfer to Aultman College:

  1. Submit an online application and needed documents by the deadline for your intended semester and program.
  1. Once accepted, we conduct a transfer credit analysis wherein we assess official transcripts to determine which classes your previously earned credits transfer toward at Aultman College. Then, you have the choice to either accept or appeal your transfer credit award toward your degree.

Another Way to Get Credit: Prior Learning Assessment

Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit is awarded to recognize a current student’s college-level learning obtained before Aultman College admission. Incoming students may receive up to 65 credit hours for an unencumbered health care license (ex: radiography, paramedic, certified medical assistant, etc.) through PLA. Credit applied for PLA replaces individual course requirements or general electives.

To start the simple and easy process for PLA, please submit your unencumbered license with your application to the college. Once you are accepted to the college, you'll be notified of the amount and type of credit awarded.

Hear it first-hand...

I love the small classes and it's a lot easier to talk to your professors and to get to know everybody in your class as well.
