Aultman College Celebrates Convocation

Aultman College celebrated the beginning of the 2021-22 academic year at its annual Convocation on October 7. Convocation is a celebration of student, faculty, and staff achievements as well as a look forward to the upcoming academic year. President Jean Paddock welcomed the campus community by noting that “as we embark on another year of preparing healthcare professionals who lead our community to improved health, it is an important time to gather.”

Lynnsey Erb (Gnadenhutten, OH), Student Senate President, spoke about her academic journey and getting involved in student lead organization. Lynnsey stressed the importance of student leadership within the community and the college.  

Student Success Services Coordinator, Jennifer Bradley, recognized students who have shown remarkable academic and leadership skills as Talon Society members and Presidential Scholarship recipients:

Megan Brown – East Sparta

Danielle Evans – Massillon

Jasmine Rey – Massillon

 

Presidential Scholarship Recipients:

Heidi Stoller – Marshallville

Emily Krause – Doylestown

 

Also recognized was staff member Kaycee Garrett for her exceptional service to students and the college. In honoring Kaycee with the Excellence in Service Award, Jeannine Shambaugh, Vice President of Business and Student Affairs, noted Kaycee’s positive impact within the college community.

 

The ceremony concluded with an all-campus reading challenge from President Paddock as a way to embrace learning in the upcoming year. “You may have best of intentions, but how can do you do it better to make sure you are finding success and helping build every individual up That is what will be found in the all-campus readings,” said Dr. Paddock.
