Campus Safety & Health Resources

Aultman College is committed to providing a safe learning environment for students, employees, patients, and visitors. We work collaboratively with the Aultman Health Foundation (AHF) Security Services Department, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and includes a team of more than 50 officers who patrol all the buildings and parking lots on campus.

We also use a mass notification system to keep you informed about school closings and emergencies.

If you have any security questions or concerns, please contact our campus coordinator, Monica Mendenhall, at 330-363-4281 or [email protected].

Security Contact Numbers

Emergency

  • 911
  • 330-363-6777 (direct line to Aultman Security Department)
  • Ext. 36777 (when dialing from an on-campus phone)

Non-Emergency

  • 330-363-6268 (direct line to Aultman Security Department)
  • Ext. 36268 (when dialing from an on-campus phone)

We recommend that students program the emergency number in their cell phones for easy access. Security phones are also located throughout the AHF campus and connect directly to security personnel when the receiver is lifted.

Security Services

As an Aultman College student, you can contact the Aultman Security Department for the following:

  • 24/7 escorts to and from the parking lots
  • Vehicle assistance (flat tire, dead batteries, locked keys, etc.)
  • Investigation reports
  • Vehicle accident reports

We also ask students to report all unusual incidents immediately to the Aultman Security Department. To assist with your safety, officers have the authority to detain persons and obtain proper identification of persons detained on AHF property. If an arrest is necessary, security personnel contact the Canton Police Department.

Emergency Alert System

The college uses a general mass notification, an internet-based system to notify students, faculty, and staff of school closings and emergencies. In an emergency or school closing, an official message is sent to all registered communication devices. The caller ID for voice communications will read 330-363-0911 on a landline or cell phone; the caller ID for text communications will read #89361. Email communications will come from “Aultman College Emergency Notification System.” Students are responsible to keep all contact information current. Phone number and contact information changes should be communicated through the Change of Information Form available in the main college office.

Emergency Procedures

The AHF Security Services Department reviews security policies and procedures during student orientation. In accordance with the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, on-campus crime statistics and other security information can be found hereQuestions about the Annual Security Report and Clery Act compliance may be directed to the college’s Title IX Coordinator/Compliance Officer, Mrs. Sue Shepherd, at 330-363-4349 or [email protected].
