SOCIAL WORK COURSEWORK APPROVED FOR STATE CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY LICENSING EDUCATION

Students at Aultman College will now have an easier way to qualify to sit for a state chemical dependency licensing exam.

The Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board has approved the SWK 325 Substance Abuse course in Aultman College’s social work program as meeting the educational requirement for its chemical dependency counselor assistant phase I (CDCA-I) application.

Students with prior health care experience who take this course and verify requirements with the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board can then sit for the exam to earn their CDCA phase I certification.
