Jess graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts - Boston in 2021, and transitioned from nursing assistant to registered nurse on a medical-surgical geriatric-psych floor. After a big move to Chattanooga, Tennessee, Jess specialized in high-risk obstetrics which was her ultimate goal in bedside nursing.
Through collaboration with her peers, she began clinical instruction for a variety of universities in Tennessee, teaching fundamental nursing and obstetric clinicals. These experiences led to her passion for teaching and supporting nursing student success, which prompted her to obtain her Master's of Science in Nursing with a focus in nursing education from the American College of Education. Now, while Jess continues to practice bedside nursing in women's health settings, her primary goal has shifted towards ensuring quality patient care by supporting and empowering confident, capable nursing students. In her free time, Jess and her husband spend a lot of time outside, hanging out with family, playing video games, and cooking.
