Aultman College is pleased to announce the recipients of its annual faculty and staff awards. Dr. Hope Badawy, assistant professor of biology, of Copley received the 2020 Excellence in Teaching Award. Christine Court, registrar, of Wooster received the 2020 Excellence in Service Award.
The Excellence in Teaching Award is given to recognize a faculty member’s service and unique contributions to Aultman College. Badawy was recognized for her enthusiastic teaching that inspires and motivates students. She goes “above and beyond standard lectures,” noted one nominator. She also built scenarios on the college’s Anatomage table, which is a virtual dissection table, to help students better correlate anatomy with diseases processes.
The Excellence in Service Award celebrates a staff member’s service and unique contributions to the college. Court was recognized for her leadership in the student information system software conversion process and her “energetic enthusiasm for life.”
The winners were recognized at the October board of directors meeting and are being honored with a nameplate in a book they each select for donation to the college’s library.
