AULTMAN COLLEGE, R.G. DRAGE SIGN AGREEMENT TO AWARD COLLEGE CREDIT TO STUDENTS

Health care students at R.G. Drage Career Technical Center could receive college credit for their studies, thanks to a new articulation agreement with Aultman College.

As part of the agreement, students in the health technologies program at R.G. Drage can receive up to five credit hours at Aultman College for successful completion of four courses at the career center. Students must apply to Aultman College within one year of graduation for their course work to be evaluated for credit.

“These students have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in the health care field, and their competency deserved recognition,” said Dr. Brock Reiman, vice president of academic affairs at Aultman College. “R.G. Drage is helping these students access entry-level jobs in the health care field, and we feel an Aultman College education is a natural next step to build on that foundation to form a lifelong career.”

“In particular, these students would be well suited to our health sciences and social work degree programs,” said Dr. Jeffrey Pellegrino, director of health sciences. “These fields enable practitioners to harness their passion for helping others outside of direct, caregiving roles.”
