Aultman College Student Life Organizations

Getting involved in student organizations is one of the best ways you can build your resume and form strong bonds with your classmates. Extracurricular involvement shows potential employers that you have a positive attitude and that you are a team player. Student Senate

Student Senate is a student-led, student-run organization that plays an important role in the college’s administrative structure. The organization’s mission is to encourage students to become engaged in social, professional and service activities within the college, and to facilitate communication between students, faculty, staff, and administration. Student Senate meets regularly to discuss activities and college-related issues that are important to students. Senators are elected at the beginning of the academic year and in January for cohorts entering the college in spring semester.

Aultman College Student Nurse Association

Aultman College Student Nurse Association (ACSNA) is the Aultman College chapter of the Ohio Nursing Students’ Association (ONSA) and the National Student Nurses’ Association (NSNA). By joining NSNA, you automatically become a member of ONSA and ACSNA. Your membership in these organizations unites you with students and professionals locally and nationally who share your vision and are shaping the future of nursing. In addition, you can take advantage of programs, scholarships, and leadership opportunities, along with discounts on nursing student products and services that are available to all members of the NSNA.

ACSNA meets monthly and sponsors many Student Life activities.  Members of the organization are sponsored by the college and the Alumni Association to travel to the ONSA convention.  Click here to join the NSNA.

Radiography Club

The Radiography Club meets regularly to discuss fundraising goals and activity opportunities for radiography students. Members help with student life activities, represent the college at the Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT) conference, and conduct group community service projects.

Talon Society

This elite society is open to all majors at Aultman College. Talon Society members inspire the next generation of health care providers by sharing their college experiences with prospective students during Preview Days and tours, welcoming new students at orientation, and serving as special event assistants. No more than eight students are in this society at any given time. Students are chosen to be Talon Society members. Click here to read more about the Talon Society.

Phi Theta Kappa

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is the largest two-year honor society in the world. The Aultman chapter, founded in 2010, is named Beta Sigma Theta. PTK offers students leadership and honors activities, as well as a wealth of scholarships and career networking opportunities. To be eligible to join Phi Theta Kappa, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.60 and have completed at least 12 credit hours at Aultman College. For more information, visit www.ptk.org

Lambda Nu

Lambda Nu is a national honor society for radiologic and imaging services. The college’s Ohio Gamma chapter was founded in 2012. Lambda Nu’s objectives are to foster academic scholarship at the highest levels, promote research and investigation in the radiologic and imaging sciences, and recognize exemplary scholarship. To be eligible to join the Ohio Gamma chapter of Lambda Nu, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have completed at least five credit hours in the radiography program at Aultman College.
