Colleen graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Walsh University in 2005. She then spent several years working in post-operative orthopedics. In 2010, she took her first adjunct clinical instructor position working with Med-Surg students at Walsh University. This position allowed her to find her true passion for nursing to be rooted in Education. In 2014, Colleen obtained her master’s degree from Walsh University in the Nurse Educator program, specifically focusing on nursing education. As part of her practicum, she spent hours with Dean Donnenwirth at Aultman College and was excited about all she experienced. She spent 2014-2022 working as an adjunct at Walsh in a variety of courses and clinical settings. In early 2022, Colleen decided she was ready to find a more full-time role and move into the next phase of her career.
Colleen states, “Nursing education is my passion. I have had Aultman College on my mind since my preceptorship back in 2014, and I just feel like this environment is a great fit for me both personally and professionally. The faculty team supports each other, and I am proud to be part of this amazing team.”
In her free time, Colleen enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She is a Disney fanatic, spends her evenings teaching dance to youth, and loves to travel.
