Ms. Milbrodt has over 23 years of experience in nursing. She started her nursing education here at Aultman. She received her diploma in nursing in 2000. She then received her BSN from the University of Phoenix in 2009 and her MSN from Purdue Global University in 2018 with a focus on nursing education. Melanie is currently working towards her Ph.D. in nursing education at Capella University. She has been teaching at Aultman College as an adjunct faculty since the Spring of 2019. Prior to teaching, she embraced her nursing career from its beginnings as a state-tested nursing assistant. Half of her nursing career was spent working as a staff nurse in various settings including medical/surgical units and labor and delivery. She currently holds a certification in medical-surgical nursing. The other half of her career has been spent in managerial positions including Director of Nursing in long-term care facilities and Director of Assessment and 8eferral at a short-term psychiatric hospital. She has a passion for teaching and inspiring future nurses. Being able to guide students through their educational journey is a privilege. “Teaching students the art of the profession of nursing is the most rewarding feeling.” Being a part of the Aultman College team is an honor and a pleasure. Education is a lifelong journey!
In her spare time, Melanie enjoys the outdoors, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
